2023 Dodge and Ram Durango R/T Plus, RWDSECTION Sunroof Or Sunshade Obstacle Detection Override

There are two methods for overriding the obstacle detection of the sunroof. If sunroof is experiencing auto-reversals but no obstacle is present in roof opening follow procedure. Refer to SUNROOF INITIALIZATION AND OBSTACLE DETECTION CALIBRATION .

OVERRIDE - METHOD 1Β  - Press and hold the sunroof CLOSE switch. Obstacle detection is not active during manual (press & hold switch) operation of the sunroof or power sunshade.

OVERRIDE - METHOD 2Β  - If the sunroof auto-reverses three consecutive times during express (one touch) close operation, the sunroof will enter override mode. All switch commands will be in manual mode (one-touch express operation will be disabled) while the obstacle detection feature is in override mode. Sunroof or power sunshade must be fully closed in manual mode (press & hold switch) or vehicle ignition cycled off and back on to exit override mode.
