Diagnostic Test

2023 Dodge and Ram Durango R/T Plus, RWDSECTION Diagnostic Test
  1. CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    3. Using the Driver Door Lock Switch, lock and unlock the doors.
    4. With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs.

      Does the DTC return?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2

      No 

      • Test complete. The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals, and correct pin tension.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
  2. CHECK EACH DOOR LATCH/LOCK MOTOR ON THE (P910) DRIVER DOOR UNLOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT AND (P292) PASSENGER DOORS UNLOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT 
    NOTE:

    Using the wiring diagram as a guide, disconnect each component on the circuits one at a time and check for an active DTC.

    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Driver Door Latch.
    3. Turn the ignition on.
    4. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    5. Using the Driver Door Lock Switch, lock and unlock the doors.
    6. With the scan tool, read BCM DTCs.

      Does the DTC return?

      Yes 

      • Repeat this step for the other Door Latches on the circuits. If the DTC is still active after all the Door Latches are disconnected Go To  3

      No 

  3. CHECK THE (P910) DRIVER DOOR UNLOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT AND (P292) PASSENGER DOORS UNLOCK DRIVER CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the BCM C6/F harness connector.
    3. Turn the ignition on.
    4. Measure the voltage between ground and the (P910) Driver Door Unlock Driver circuit.
    5. Measure the voltage between ground and the (P292) Passenger Doors Unlock Driver circuit.

      Is there any voltage present?

      Yes 

      • Repair the short to voltage on the (P910) Driver Door Unlock Driver circuit or (P292) Passenger Doors Unlock Driver circuit.
      • Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .

      No
