CONTROL MODULE PROGRAMMING ERROR
This Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is set to inform the technician that the Transmission Control Module (TCM) is programmed with generic software and must be reprogrammed with vehicle specific software.
Perform the TCM PROGRAMMING PROCEDURE. Refer to MODULE PROGRAMMING .

Yes
- Perform the TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to TRANSMISSION VERIFICATION TEST .

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
