Engine Block: FLEXPLATE: Installation

  1. Position the flexplate (1) onto the crankshaft and install the bolts finger tight.
  2. Using the sequence shown, tighten the flexplate retaining bolts to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ  .
    CAUTION:

    Do not use an impact socket or a thick walled socket when removing or installing the flexplate retaining bolts, damage to the crankshaft, internal engine or the transmission may occur.

  3. Install the transmission. Refer to INSTALLATION .
