Coil, Ignition: Removal: 6.2L

2023 Dodge and Ram Durango GT, RWDSECTION 6.2L
  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.

  2. Remove the engine cover(s) (1).
  3. The following steps are necessary only for right side ignition coils, for the left side, continue to step 4.
    • Remove the supercharger coolant bottle reservoir from the mounting bracket and position aside for additional clearance. Refer to RESERVOIR, COOLANT, REMOVAL .
      NOTE:

      It is not necessary to disconnect the coolant hoses from the coolant reservoir.

    • Remove the right side coolant tube retainer and reposition coolant tubes.
    • Remove the Power Distribution Center (PDC) from the mounting bracket and position aside.
    • Reposition the wire harness for additional clearance.
  4. Remove the air cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL .

  5. Disconnect the ignition coil wire harness connector (2).
  6. Remove the two ignition coil bolts (1).
  7. Using a slight rocking motion, carefully lift the ignition coil from the cylinder head opening.
    NOTE:

    It will be necessary to carefully reposition the A/C Lines for clearance, if removing the left side coils.
