WARNING:
Disconnect the negative cable from the battery before removing the battery output wire (B+ wire) from the generator. Failure to do so can result in injury or damage to the electrical system.
- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Remove the serpentine belt (1). Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL .
- Remove the Supercharger belt tensioner. Refer to TENSIONER, DRIVE BELT, REMOVAL .
- Remove the right front splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, WHEELHOUSE, REMOVAL

- Remove the protective cap from the B+ output terminal and remove the fastener that secures the B+ cable.
- Disconnect the field wire connector (3) at the rear of the generator by pushing on the connector tab.
- Remove the fastener securing the ground wire to the stud on the generator.
- Remove the lower fastener (1) and (2) that secure the generator.
- Loosen the fastener securing the rear brace to the engine mount.
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- Remove the fastener securing the coolant lines to the PCM bracket and set the lines aside.
- Remove the upper fastener (1). Position the coolant hoses aside and remove the generator from the vehicle.
