Module, Integrated Center Stack (ICSM): Description
The Integrated Center Stack (ICS) Module (1) is located in the center of the instrument panel below the radio and is serviced as an assembly with the instrument panel bezel.
The instrument panel switch pod is integral to the ICS module and is located just below the heater and air conditioner controls in the ICS module. This ICS module is available in multiple configurations, which vary depending upon the equipment in the vehicle. However, every available configuration includes the hazard warning push button switch. The ICS module may include the following switches:
- MUTE
- Heated Seats ON/OFF Driver and Passenger
- Vented Seats ON/OFF Driver and Passenger
- Heated Steering Wheel ON/OFF
- SCREEN OFF
- A/C Controls
- AUX 1 Pursuit models only
- AUX 2 Pursuit models only
- AUX 3 Pursuit models only
- AUX 4 Pursuit models only
- TRACK
- SPORT
- TOW
- SNOW
- SRT (SRT models only)
- LAUNCH (SRT models only)
- SPORT ON
- ECO OFF
- Hazard Warning
- Park Assist OFF
- Engine Stop/Start ON/OFF
- Lane Departure Warning (LDW) OFF
- Electronic Stability Control (ESC) OFF
The ICS module housing and the push buttons are constructed of molded plastic. Each push button has a smooth finish and is clearly identified with the appropriate text and International Control and Display Symbol icons. Refer to INTERNATIONAL VEHICLE CONTROL AND DISPLAY SYMBOLS, DESCRIPTION . Several of the push buttons feature Light Emitting Diode (LED) units to give the vehicle operator an indication when the function of that button is currently active. Only the hazard warning switch push button latches. The remaining switches feature momentary operation. The back of the ICS module housing has an integral connector receptacle containing terminals that connect the ICS module to the vehicle electrical system through a dedicated take out and connector of the instrument panel wire harness. Panel lamps dimmer controlled illumination lamps integral to the circuit board within the ICS module provide backlighting for visibility at night, but these lamps are not serviceable. The individual buttons and rotary switches cannot be repaired and are not serviced individually. If any component within the ICS module is ineffective or damaged, the entire ICS module and instrument panel bezel will need to be replaced. Refer to MODULE, INTEGRATED CENTER STACK (ICSM), REMOVAL .

When to See a Mechanic
