In/Out Adjustment

  1. Using a trim stick (special tool #C-4755, Trim Stick) or equivalent, remove the upper rear headliner trim (2).

  2. For the upper liftgate adjustments, loosen the six hinge to header fasteners (2 and 3) and adjust to specifications. Refer to GAP AND FLUSH, SPECIFICATIONSΒ .
  3. Tighten the hinge bolts to the proper specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONSΒ .

  4. For the lower liftgate adjustments, remove liftgate scuff trim. Refer to PLATE, SCUFF, LIFTGATE, INSTALLATION .
  5. Loosen the striker screws (2) and adjust the liftgate to specifications. Refer to GAP AND FLUSH, SPECIFICATIONSΒ .
  6. Tighten the striker screws to the proper specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONSΒ .
  7. Position the upper rear headliner trim and seat fully.
  8. Position liftgate scuff plate trim and seat fully.
