CAUTION:

When installing the ABS module to the HCU, be sure to properly align the ABS module and the HCU so that sensor terminals or the contact pads do not touch other parts of the modules. Otherwise, damage to the pressure sensor or Pump Motor connection may result requiring HCU replacement.

  1. With the ABS module (3) forward of the brake lines (4), move the module toward the outside of the vehicle and around the brake lines in order to align it with the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) (1).
  2. Align the ABS module contact tower (2) to the tower receiving hole of the HCU. Install the ABS module to the HCU without touching the tower terminals to any solenoids.

For ease of installation, place the ABS Module Right Hand (RH) bottom retaining fastener into the ABS Module mounting hole, prior to installing the ABS Module onto the HCU.
