Damper, Vibration: Removal
2023 Dodge and Ram Charger SXT, 4WDSECTION Removal

- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to COOLING SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE
.
- Remove the upper radiator hose clamps (1) and remove the upper radiator hose (2).
- Remove the oil cooler hose clamp (3) and remove oil cooler hose (4) and position aside.
- Remove the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL .
- Remove the cooling fan assembly. Refer to FAN, COOLING, REMOVAL
.NOTE:
When installing the puller tool, ensure the bolts are fully threaded through the entire crankshaft damper.
- Using the (special tool #10386, Holder, Vibration Damper), remove the and DISCARD the vibration damper bolt.
- Install the puller tool (2) making sure the bolts are fully threaded through the entire crankshaft damper.
- Remove the crankshaft damper (1).
