Air Cleaner: Removal

  1. Remove the air cleaner housing cover retaining screws (1).

  2. Lift the air cleaner housing cover (1) while separating the locating tabs from the housing.
  3. Remove the air cleaner element (2) from the housing.
  4. Clean the inside of the air cleaner housing before replacing the element.
    NOTE:

    For cleaning cold air intake air filters refer to the I-Sheet in STAR Parts or service information. Some cold air intake air filters are cleaned and oiled, where others are cleaned only without oiling.
