The UConnect™ Radio Display is used to set up of the TTPM and display the tire pressure, temperature and warning messages in the IPC.

To configure a trailer the customer will enter the trailer settings screen in the radio and select the trailer number to configure. After the trailer number is selected the customer will select the Tire Pressure setup screen. selection of Tire Pressure setup screen, the radio will send the following CAN message to the TTPM module:

  • Assign trailer number (up to four)
  • Setup All Tires (up to three axles and 12 sensors)
  • Replace Single Tire
  • Set Target Tire Pressure
  • Delete Tire Settings

Programming consists of letting out 3-5 psi out of each tire indicated in the Radio Display to accomplish learning the tire pressure sensor IDs to the vehicle's TTPM system. When the TTPM system has learned a tires ID, a short horn beep will sound, followed by an indication on the Radio Display of the next tire to be learned. In the event that the sensor did not program to the system two short beeps of the horn and an indication on the display to retry. Once all tires to be learned are programmed on all axles selected by the user, the Radio Display will indicate that tire programming has been successful.
