NOTE:
Muffler installation is a two-man operation.
- Install muffler and tailpipe (2) assembly in vehicle and tighten the four spring nuts (1) to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONSΒ .
- Install the two exhaust isolators (1) to the muffler.
- Install the rear exhaust isolators (1).
- Install the rear exhaust isolator (1).
- Install the ground strap (2).
- Install the left exhaust isolator (1).
- Install the left exhaust resonator. Refer to RESONATOR, EXHAUST, INSTALLATIONΒ .
- Make sure the muffler/tailpipe assembly is correctly positioned and the properly aligned. The minimum clearance between components is 25 mm (1 inch).
- Remove the jack supporting the exhaust system.
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- Start the engine and inspect for exhaust leaks. Repair exhaust leaks as necessary.
