Module, Keyless Ignition Node (Kin): Removal

2020 Dodge and Ram Durango GT, AWDSECTION Removal
  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.

  2. Using a trim stick or another suitable wide flat-bladed tool, disengage the snap clips that secure the molded hard plastic outer edges of the steering column gap hider bezel (1) to the instrument panel.

  3. Position the telematic steering column outward and slide the gap hider forward.

  4. Reach in through the opening and disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the Keyless Ignition Node (KIN) module.

  5. There is a tab (1) on each side of the KIN. To remove the KIN, release each tab securing the KIN to the bezel.
