Diagnostic Test

2013 Dodge and Ram Journey Crew, AWDSECTION Diagnostic Test
  1. CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTCΒ 
    NOTE:

    Before proceeding with the diagnostic procedure, verify that the connections are properly made, seated and verify proper pin terminal tension. A loose connection at any of the SCCM connectors may cause the DTC to set.

    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. Press the Horn Switch twice. (The scan tool can be used to monitor switch status. Status can be viewed in the SCCM data display.)
    3. With the scan tool, read DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?

      YesΒ 

      WARNING:

      Turn the ignition off disconnect the 12-volt battery and wait two minutes before proceeding. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.
