Safety Warning
DIY auto repair can cause serious injury, fire, or vehicle damage. These guides are for informational purposes only. Always follow OEM torque specs, wear PPE, and consult a certified mechanic if you are unsure. You are solely responsible for your safety.
Possible Causes
The most probable cause that sets this code is the RKE transceiver (FOBIK) being pressed over 1024 times when it is out of range of the RF Hub and it loses synchronization with the rolling code. Re-syncing automatically takes place in the background after the vehicle has been started and driven above 5 mph. This happens once per ignition cycle above 5 mph to all FOBIKs located inside the vehicle, just in case one of the FOBIKs was de-activated during a FOBIK safe lock procedure.
