- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
- Remove the catalytic converter (3). Refer to CONVERTER, CATALYTIC, REMOVAL .
- Remove the front engine mount through bolt.
- Remove the bolts (2) from the front engine mount bracket (1) and remove the bracket.
- Disconnect the starter solenoid electrical connector (1) from the starter solenoid terminal.
- Remove the battery cable nut and battery cable from the solenoid stud (2).
- Remove the starter mounting bolts (4).
- Remove the starter assembly (3) from the transmission.
