- Install starter to vehicle.
- Connect electrical connector (3) to starter solenoid (2).
- Install battery cable (1), ignition sense wire (4) and battery cable nut (5) to solenoid stud. Tighten nut to 10 N.m (90 in. lbs.).
- Position starter motor past the intake manifold.
- Install starter motor (4) to transmission housing (3).
- Install negative battery cable (2) and starter mounting bolts (1) to transmission housing (3). Tighten bolts to 54 N.m (40 ft. lbs.).
- Install throttle body. Refer to THROTTLE BODY, INSTALLATION .
- Connect negative battery cable, tighten nut to 4.5 N.m (40 in. lbs.).
