- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
- Remove the front belly pan front retainers (1).
- Remove the rear push pin (1).
- Remove the retainers from the belly pan to the side splash shields (2).
- Remove the passenger side splash shields.
- Remove the passenger side front wheels.
- Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL .
- Remove the right intermediate shaft. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Remove the B+ retainer (2).
- Disconnect the generator field connector (1) and position aside the B+ cable (3).
- Loosen the upper generator rear support bracket retainer (1) (not necessary to remove).
- Remove the upper generator mounting retainer (2).
- Remove the lower generator mounting retainer (3).
- Remove the generator.
