  1. Position the water pump (3) with a new gasket (2) onto the cylinder head (1). Tighten the bolts (4) to 28 N.m (21 ft. lbs.).

  2. Install the timing belt (3).
  3. Evacuate air and refill cooling system. Refer to PUMP, WATER, STANDARD PROCEDUREΒ .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable.
  5. Check cooling system for leaks. Refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTINGΒ .
