Fuel Pump Module: Removal: Notes
2006 Dodge and Ram Caravan SE, 3.3 RSECTION Notes
WARNING:
RELEASE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE BEFORE SERVICING FUEL SYSTEM COMPONENTS. SERVICE VEHICLES IN WELL VENTILATED AREAS AND AVOID IGNITION SOURCES. NEVER SMOKE WHILE SERVICING THE VEHICLE.
- Remove fuel filler cap and perform Fuel System Pressure Release procedure.
- Disconnect negative cable from auxiliary jumper terminal.
- Drain fuel tank, refer to the Fuel Tank procedure in FUEL DELIVERY .
- Remove fuel tank, refer to FUEL TANK - REMOVAL .
- Clean top of tank to remove loose dirt and debris.
- Using a brass punch and hammer remove locknut to release pump module. See Fig 1.
