- Position the battery negative cable in the engine compartment.
- Raise vehicle on hoist, (Refer to LUBRICATION & MAINTENANCE/HOISTING - STANDARD PROCEDURE) .
- Install the fastener securing the battery negative cable to the transmission housing. Torque the bolt to 11 N.m (8 ft. lbs.).
- One at a time, install the battery cable retaining pushpins, fasteners and routing clips until the cable is installed exactly where it was in the vehicle.
- Lower vehicle.
- Install the fastener securing the battery negative cable to the right front strut tower.
- Connect the battery negative cable.
- Install the spare tire cover.
