- Before proceeding, follow air bag service precautions. See SERVICE PRECAUTIONSΒ . Turn front wheels to straight-ahead position. Turn ignition switch to LOCK or OFF position and remove key.
- Remove AIR BAG fuse from fuse block. Fuse block is located behind cover on far left end of instrument panel. Wait at least 10 minutes. Remove lower sound insulator panel from left side of instrument panel. Remove the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip, and disconnect driver air bag 2-pin Yellow SIR connector at base of steering column. See Fig 1.
- Remove the Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clip. Disconnect passenger air bag 2-pin Yellow SIR connector at base of steering column. See Fig 1.
