DTC P1494: Leak Detect Pump SW Or Mechanical Fault: Description
Leak Detection Pump (LDP) switch operation is monitored immediately after a cold start, with ambient temperature 40-90Β°F (4.4-32.2Β°C) and engine coolant temperature within 10Β°F (-12.2Β°C) of ambient temperature. DTC will set in Powertrain Control Module (PCM) memory when PCM senses a change in switch state is not sensed when LDP solenoid is energized following an engine start. Possible causes for DTC to set are: defective LDP, defective PCM, defective connectors or defective wiring.
