- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Memory Heated Seat/Mirror Module (MHSMM) harness connector C3. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 6 (Red/Tan wire) at MHSMM harness connector C3. See Figure . If resistance is not 1.5-3.5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 1.5-3.5 ohms, replace MHSMM.
- Disconnect passenger's heated seat back cushion harness connector. Measure resistance between ground and terminal "B" (Black wire) at passenger's heated seat back cushion harness connector. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Black wire between passenger's heated seat back cushion and ground.
- Disconnect passenger's heated seat cushion harness connector. Measure resistance in Brown/Black wire between terminal "B" at passenger's heated seat cushion harness connector and terminal "A" at passenger's heated seat back cushion harness connector. See Figure . If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Brown/Black wire between passenger's heated seat cushion and passenger's heated seat back cushion.
- Measure resistance between terminals "A" and "B" at passenger's heated seat back cushion connector (component side). If resistance is 2 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 2 ohms, replace passenger's heated seat back cushion.
- Measure resistance between terminals "A" and "B" at passenger's heated seat cushion connector (component side). If resistance is 2 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 2 ohms, replace passenger's heated seat cushion.
- Measure resistance in Red/Tan wire between terminal "A" at passenger's heated seat cushion harness connector and terminal No. 6 at MHSMM harness connector C3. See Figure and Figure . If resistance is 5 ohms or less, problem is intermittent. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, repair open in Red/Tan wire between passenger's heated seat cushion and MHSMM.
