1999 Dodge and Ram Viper RT/10SECTION 2ND Gear

The 1-2 synchronizer sleeve shifts forward to engage with clutch teeth on second speed gear. See Figure . In this condition, power from input gear will go through cluster gear, across second speed gear, and into synchronizer sleeve. The sleeve turns synchronizer hub and main shaft. The gear ratio for second gear is 1.78:1.
