Motor Switch Testing

1990 Dodge and Ram Dakota LE, 2D Pickup, 3.9 X, 4WD, AutomaticSECTION Motor Switch Testing

Remove switch. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity with switch in the OFF, UP and DOWN positions. Ensure continuity exist between pins listed in POWER WINDOW SWITCH TESTING (LEFT DOOR)Β  and POWER WINDOW SWITCH TESTING (RIGHT DOOR)Β  . See Fig 1 . If continuity does not exist, replace switch.

Off Pins 1 & 2, Pins 2 & 3
Pins 2 & 4, Pins 2 & 6
Up (Left) Pins 1 & 2, Pins 4 & 5
Up (Right) Pins 5 & 6, Pins 2 & 3
Down (Left) Pins 1 & 5, Pins 2 & 4
Down (Right) Pins 3 & 5, Pins 2 & 6
