NOTE: Grounding the carburetor switch eliminates spark advance on most models. On models with feedback carburetor it also provides a fixed fuel/air ratio.

1. With ignition switch in "OFF," position, disconnect 10-wire harness connector from "Spark Control Computer."
2. With throttle completely closed, check continuity between terminal 7 and the engine ground, see figure. Continuity should exist. If not, check wiring and carburetor switch.
3. With throttle opened, check continuity between terminal 7 and the engine ground, Fig. Continuity should not exist.
