All Light Duty emissions models are equipped with an electric assist choke system to help control hydrocarbon (HC) and carbon monoxide (CO) emissions and to shorten engine warm-up time. The electric assist choke system consists of an electric heating element, a bimetallic spring, a thermostatic choke coil and connecting linkage.
