A speed control servo is used only with 3.7L V-6 or 4.7L V-8 engines.Β 

The speed control servo (4) is located in the engine compartment and is attached to the bottom of the PDC (Power Distribution Center) (1).

The servo unit consists of a solenoid valve body, and a vacuum chamber. The solenoid valve body contains three solenoids:

  1. Vacuum
  2. Vent
  3. Dump

The vacuum chamber contains a diaphragm with a cable attached to control the throttle linkage.
