Fuel Tank: Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Install fuel line on fuel pump module using proper procedure. See FUEL LINE DISCONNECT FITTINGSΒ . Tighten fuel tank strap bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ .
  2. Check for fuel leaks by starting engine or by pressurizing fuel system. Fuel system may be pressurized by using scan tool manufacturer's instructions and scan tool connected to data link connector to perform ASD FUEL SYSTEM TEST. When performing ASD FUEL SYSTEM TEST, ASD relay and fuel pump relay remain energized for 7 minutes unless test is stopped or ignition is turned off.
