Latch Release Cable: Installation

- Place cable in position on vehicle.
- Push cable through access hole in dash panel.
- Install release cable rubber grommet into access hole in dash panel.
- Install screws attaching hood latch release cable handle to the cowl side. Tighten screws to 2.3 to 3.4 N.m (20 to 30 in.lbs.) torque.
- Install cable clips.
- Place carpet into position.
- Install left wheel splash shield.
- Install left cowl side trim panel.
- Connect hood release cable ferrule and cable end to hood latch.
- Verify hood latch operation before closing hood.
