Knock Sensor: Removal

The sensors screws into the cylinder block, directly below the intake manifold.

  1. Remove intake manifold plenum refer to the INTAKE MANIFOLD .
  2. 2.7LΒ  Remove the passenger side cylinder head, refer to ENGINE 2.7L .
  3. Disconnect electrical connector' from knock sensor (Fig 1 ) or (Fig 2 ).
