NOTE:
It is not necessary to discharge air conditioning system when removing the radiator.
- Disconnect negative cable from remote jumper terminal.WARNING: DO NOT REMOVE THE CYLINDER BLOCK PLUG OR THE RADIATOR DRAINCOCK WITH THE SYSTEM HOT AND UNDER PRESSURE BECAUSE SERIOUS BURNS FROM COOLANT CAN OCCUR.
- Drain cooling system. (Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE )
- Remove radiator upper crossmember. (Refer to GRILLE OPENING REINFORCEMENT )
- Remove upper and lower coolant hoses from the radiator.
- Disconnect transmission hoses from cooler and plug (Fig 1).
- Disconnect engine oil cooler lines (if equipped) (Fig 1).
- Disconnect the radiator fan electrical connector (Fig 2).
- Remove radiator fan (Fig 2).CAUTION: Avoid bending the condenser inlet tube. Care should be taken not to damage radiator or condenser cooling fins or water tubes during removal.
- Remove the air conditioning condenser attaching screws located at the front of the radiator (Fig 3) or (Fig 4).
