Front Wiper Switch: Installation

2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring, 2.4 B, AutomaticSECTION Installation

To service the front wiper/washer switch, the multi-function switch must first be removed.

  1. Place new wiper/washer switch next to the multi-function switch and install two screws.
  2. Place the multi-function switch into place and install the two mounting screws. See Figure . Torque multi-function switch to column retaining screws to 3 N.m (27 in. lbs.).
  3. Connect both posi-lock harness connectors at the rear of the multi-function switch and front wiper/washer switch. See Figure .
  4. Install both upper and lower steering column shrouds. See STEERING COLUMN .
  5. Connect the battery negative cable.
  6. Close hood.
  7. Verify vehicle and system operation.
