2004 Chrysler Crossfire StandardSECTION 7. Engine Mechanical Problem

Check for any of the following conditions/mechanical problems.

  1. AIR INDUCTION SYSTEM - must be free from leaks.
  2. ENGINE VACUUM - must be at least 13 inches in neutral
  3. ENGINE VALVE TIMING - must be within specifications
  4. ENGINE COMPRESSION - must be within specifications
  5. ENGINE EXHAUST SYSTEM - must be free of any restrictions or leaks.
  6. ENGINE CRANKCASE VENT SYSTEM - must flow freely
  7. TORQUE CONVERTER STALL SPEED - must be within specifications
  8. POWER BRAKE BOOSTER - must not have any internal vacuum leaks.
  9. FUEL - must be free of contamination
  10. FUEL INJECTOR - must not be plugged or restricted; harness connectors must be connected to the correct injectors.

Are there any engine mechanical problems? 

  1. Yes  >> Repair as necessary.

    See POWERTRAIN VERIFICATION TEST - VER 2  .

  2. No  >> Go To 12
