Start & Stall Condition: Testing

2003 Chrysler Intrepid SXTSECTION Testing
  1. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, check for DTCs. If no DTCs are present, go to next step. If any DTCs are present, perform appropriate diagnostic test. See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE DEFINITIONS in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - CONCORDE, INTREPID & 300M article.
  2. Using scan tool, read and record Sentry Key Immobilizer Module (SKIM) DTC (fault) messages. If no SKIM DTC messages are present, go to next step. If any SKIM DTC messages are present, a fault exists in anti-theft system. Perform appropriate test. See appropriate ANTI-THEFT SYSTEMS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
    NOTE: If scan tool does not communicate with SKIM, repair communication problem. See appropriate BODY CONTROL MODULES article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT.
