Input devices supply information to Transmission Control Module (TCM) or Powertrain Control Module (PCM) for transmission control. Direct input devices provide input information to TCM and do not use PCI bus circuit. The PCI bus inputs use PCI bus circuit from PCM to TCM to supply information.
