1996 Chrysler New Yorker V6-3.5L VIN FSECTION Service and Repair

Camshaft Position Sensor Location 3.5L:






REMOVAL
1. Disconnect sensor electrical connector.
2. Remove sensor mounting bolt.
3. Pull sensor up out of timing chain cover.

NOTE: DO NOT pull on sensor electrical lead.

NOTE: If sensor is to be reinstalled, clean sensor face and install new paper spacer.

INSTALLATION
1. Install sensor in timing chain cover and push down until contact is made with camshaft gear.
2. Hold sensor in this position, install and tighten mounting bolt to 105 in.lbs. (12 Nm).
3. Connect sensor electrical connector.
