One of the indirect outputs from the TCM is the Transmission fluid temperature. The PCM monitors the transmission fluid temperature at all times. When the fluid temperature reaches 244°F the Low Speed Radiator Fan is turned ON. It will be turned back OFF when the fluid temperature drops below 236°F. If the transmission fluid temperature reaches 250°F then Hi Speed Radiator Fan is turned ON. The Hi Speed Radiator Fan is turned back OFF when the temperature drops to 244°F or lower.
