Carburetor Switch Test

1987 Chrysler Fifth Avenue 5.2 4SECTION Carburetor Switch Test
NOTE: Grounding the carburetor switch eliminates all spark advance on most systems.
  1. With key off, disconnect 10-way connector from SCC computer. With throttle completely closed, check for continuity between pin No. 7 and ground. If no continuity is present, check wire and carburetor switch for an open or short. Recheck basic timing.
  2. With throttle open, check for continuity between pin No. 7 and ground. There should be no continuity.
