Test NS6 - Diagnostic Sequence
1984 Chrysler E Class 2.2 ESECTION Test NS6 - Diagnostic Sequence
- Connect diagnostic readout box to engine harness connector. Disconnect and reconnect battery connector. Crank engine for 5 seconds. Turn ignition on-off-on-off-on within 5 seconds. Record all codes.
- Disconnect coil wire from distributor cap. Hold coil wire 1/4" from a good engine ground. Press ATM button and look for spark. If code 12 was displayed, battery feed to logic module has been disconnected. If there were no codes and no spark, proceed to NS7.
- If code 43 was displayed and there was no spark, proceed to NS8. If there were no codes and there was spark when ATM button was depressed, return to NS1.
NOTE:
Code 88 should be displayed at start of test and code 55 should be displayed at end of test.
