If the steering column power steering control module needs to be is replaced, the power steering control module needs to be programmed with the following procedures:
- Access the Service Programming System (SPS) and follow the on-screen instructions.
- With the Power Steering Assist Motor replaced and reconnected, on the SPS Supported Controllers Screen, select K43 Power Steering Control Module - Programming and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF. It may take up to 2 minutes for all vehicle systems to power down.
- Ignition ON.
- On the SPS Supported Controllers screen, select K43 Power Steering Control Module - Setup and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Clear DTCs.
