Circuit/System Testing
2022 Chevrolet Trax LT, AWDSECTION Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition/Vehicle & All vehicle systems - Off
- Disconnect the electrical connector: S155 Lane Departure Warning Switch
- Verify a test lamp turns On between the test points: Ground circuit terminal 3 & B+
- If the test lamp does not turn On
- Test for less than 2 ohms between the test points: Ground circuit terminal 3 @ Component harness & Ground terminal
- If 2 ohms or greater - Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 ohms - Repair the open/high resistance in the ground connection.
- Go to next step: If the test lamp turns On
- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Test for greater than 11 V between the test points: Signal circuit terminal 5 & Ground
- If 11 V or less
- Ignition/Vehicle - Off
- Disconnect the electrical connector: B174W Frontview Camera - Windshield
- Test for infinite resistance between the test points: Signal circuit terminal 5 @ Component harness & Ground
- If less than infinite resistance - Repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- Test for less than 2 ohms between the test points: Signal circuit terminal 5 @ Component harness & Signal circuit terminal 10 @ Control module harness
- If 2 ohms or greater - Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 ohms - Replace the component: B174W Frontview Camera - Windshield
- If greater than 11 V
- Ignition/Vehicle & All vehicle systems - Off
- Connect the electrical connector: S155 Lane Departure Warning Switch
- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Verify the scan tool parameter: Lane Departure Warning Switch Status = Inactive
- If not the specified state
Test or replace the component: S155 Lane Departure Warning Switch
- Go to next step: If the specified state
- If not the specified state
- Operate the component: Lane Departure Warning Switch - Press and hold the switch
Verify the scan tool parameter: Lane Departure Warning Switch Status = Active
- If not the specified state
- Ignition/Vehicle & All vehicle systems - Off
- Disconnect the electrical connector: B174W Frontview Camera - Windshield & S155 Lane Departure Warning Switch
- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Test for less than 1 V between the test points: Signal circuit terminal 5 @ Component harness & Ground
- If 1 V or greater - Repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If 1 V or less
- Test or replace the component: S155 Lane Departure Warning Switch
- Go to next step: If the specified state
- All OK.
