Circuit/System Testing
2022 Chevrolet Trax LT, AWDSECTION Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition/Vehicle & All vehicle systems - Off
- Disconnect the electrical connector: S155 Lane Departure Warning Switch
- Ignition/Vehicle - On
- Test for greater than 3 V between the test points: Control circuit terminal 1 & Ground
- If 3 V or less
Refer to: Interior Backlighting Malfunction
- Go to next step: If greater than 3 V
- If 3 V or less
- Ignition/Vehicle & All vehicle systems - Off
- Connect the electrical connector: S155 Lane Departure Warning Switch
- Disconnect the electrical connector: B174W Frontview Camera - Windshield
- Ignition/Vehicle - On
- Verify the component is not activated: Lane Departure Warning Switch Indicator
- If the component activates
- Ignition/Vehicle - Off & Remove - Jumper wire(s)
- Disconnect the electrical connector: S155 Lane Departure Warning Switch
- Test for infinite resistance between the test points: Control circuit terminal 2 @ Component harness & Ground
- If less than infinite resistance - Repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- If infinite resistance - Replace the component: S155 Lane Departure Warning Switch
- Go to next step: If the component does not activate
- Connect a 3 A fused jumper wire between the test points: Control circuit terminal 4 & Ground
- Verify the component activates: Lane Departure Warning Switch Indicator
- If the component does not activate
- Ignition/Vehicle - Off & Remove - Test lamp
- Disconnect the electrical connector: S155 Lane Departure Warning Switch
- Ignition/Vehicle - On
- Test for less than 1 V between the test points: Control circuit terminal 2 @ Component harness & Ground
- If 1 V or greater - Repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If less than 1 V
- Test for less than 2 ohms between the test points: Control circuit terminal 2 @ Component harness & Control circuit terminal 4 @ Control module harness
- If 2 ohms or greater - Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 ohms - Replace the component: S155 Lane Departure Warning Switch
- Go to next step: If the component activates
- Test or replace the component: B174W Frontview Camera - Windshield
