Removal Procedure
- Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (Base) .
- Support the exhaust muffler with a suitable jack.
- Floor Panel Number 4 Cross Bar Replacement - Remove
- Exhaust Rear Muffler Rear Hanger Replacement (LGX, LT1, LT4)Β - Remove
If equipped with performance exhaust, disconnect the exhaust control valve actuator electrical wiring harness connectors (1).
Using a suitable tool, cut the exhaust clamp at the location shown. (1)
Catalytic Converter Nut (1) - Remove [2x]
- Catalytic Converter Gasket (2) - Remove and DISCARD
Exhaust Pipe Clamp Nut (1) - Loosen
- Catalytic Converter Clamp (2) - Remove and DISCARD
- Exhaust Muffler (3) @ Catalytic Converter - Disconnect
- Clean the connection at the catalytic converters of any remaining gasket material.
Exhaust Muffler Isolator (1) - Disconnect [4x]
- With the aid of an assistant, lower the exhaust system from the vehicle. (2)
