Remove the rear door trim panel - left side. Rear Door Trim Panel Replacement - Left Side (E24)
- Remove the lock rod (1) from the left side rear door lower latch (2).
- Remove the 4 bolts (4) and rear side door inner panel latch reinforcement (3) that retains the left side rear door lower latch (2) to the door.
- Remove the left side rear door lower latch (2) from the door.
