2019 Chevrolet Trax Premier, AWDSECTION Assembly Procedure

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Install the brake caliper bleeder valve (2) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  2. Install the brake caliper bleeder valve cap (1).
  3. GM2201934

    Lubricate the new piston seal (1) with GM approved brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container.

  4. Install lubricated piston seal into the brake caliper bore seal groove.
  5. Ensure the seal is not twisted.
  6. GM2201931

    Install the piston dust boot seal (1) to the caliper.

  7. Ensure the seal is seated evenly and completely into the groove in the caliper housing.
  8. GM2201930

    Lightly lubricate the caliper piston with GM approved brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container.

  9. Place the caliper piston into the caliper housing by carefully lifting the edge of the dust boot seal.
  10. Carefully push the piston (1) squarely and fully into the brake caliper piston bore.
  11. Ensure the caliper dust boot is properly seated into the piston groove and into the groove in the brake caliper bore.
  12. Install the brake caliper. Front Brake Caliper ReplacementΒ
