Component Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the S72 Sunroof Switch.
  2. Test for infinite resistance between the following signal circuit terminals and the ignition terminal 1 with the switch in the open position.
    • Terminal 2
    • Terminal 3
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Replace the S72 Sunroof Switch.

    • Go to next step: If infinite resistance 
  3. Test for less than 5 Ω between the signal terminal 2 and the ignition terminal 1 with the sunroof open switch pressed.
    • If 5 Ω or greater 

      Replace the S72 Sunroof Switch.

  4. Test for less than 5 Ω between the signal terminal 3 and the ignition terminal 1 with the sunroof close switch pressed.
    • If 5 Ω or greater 

      Replace the S72 Sunroof Switch.

    • Go to next step: If less than 5 Ω 
  5. All OK
