    Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  2. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (6-Lug Wheel)Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (8-Lug Wheel) .
  3. Disconnect the rear wheel speed sensor electrical connector and release the retainers (1) from the frame rail.

    Release the rear wheel speed sensor harness retainer (1) from the rear axle.

    Clean the rear wheel speed sensor area on the rear axle of any accumulated dirt and debris.

  6. Remove the rear wheel speed sensor bolt (1).
  7. Remove the rear wheel speed sensor assembly from the rear axle by pulling straight out.
